What I Wore December

Here's some of my latest looks:
Sophie Rose had PJ day at school and I wore the new "t-shirt" scarf Maw Susan made me.

Tadlock t-shirts for volunteering at Logan George's school.

I added leg warmers to my rain boots for the extra cold weather.

Scrapping Saturday December 7th

I was able to go to a crop a few weeks ago and I started working on Logan George's album from China.  I'm not quite done, I need to do the journaling, but I am so happy to finally be close.  There is quite a bit I could write about so some of it will be handwritten and some I'll type up and print off.  Here are a few layouts:

What I Wore November 13

Here are some outfits from the last couple of weeks:
my Indian shirt a friend brought me from her travels home

my scrapbook shirt for my day of scrapbooking

my Halloween socks with my cropped jeans and fake chucks

As you can see, we are back to jeans weather.  We still have some warms days (notice the short-sleeved tops), but most need at least a sweater in the mornings.

Scrapping Saturday November 9th

I have decided that I am way too far behind so I am on a mission to get caught up.  My old way of scrapbooking just takes too long. I decided that I am going to use the Project Life system as my inspiration for most of my scrapbooking.  I have plenty of pocket pages left over from when I did Project Life albums for the kids a couple of years ago.  I'll use my own papers and some embellishments.  I also add in some memorabilia and pre-printed collage pages.  I have been able to work on my album while the kids are at school and I've been printing photos using special coupon codes from Walgreens and Shutterfly.

I used the same method as before...using the prints to figure out the layout and pages to use.  I'd make notes of pictures that still needed to be printed.  Then go back and add in journal cards and other papers to coordinate.

The journal card says it all.

I had some calendar cards that I'm using for this album.

Map from our zoo visit.

I finally got to use some cool animal print paper I've had for years.

A full page created like I usually do.

Scrapbook page printed through Walgreens.
I have layouts done through May (that would be 5 months in just a couple of weeks).  I still need to add paper and cards to May.  I have about 130 pictures to print (mostly August and October) and then I can continue with 2013.

Once I'm caught up, I'll finish up 2010 (yes, I'm that far behind).  My plan will be to spend 1-2 days each month working on the last month and the rest of the time completing the past years.

Scrapping Saturday October 26

I finally got all the scrapbooking boxes unpacked. I really enjoyed looking through some of my old stuff, things that have been shoved away until now.  Here are some pages from my very first scrapbook.
the cover

the title page

envelope and newspaper from a friend who lived in Japan

report cards

more school stuff and travel tickets
I am looking forward to getting back into a routine with scrapbooking.
